Safety Squat Bar
The VA SEVEN® Safety Squat Bar is a safer option for heavy lifts and squat progressions than a conventional barbell. The bar has knurled handles and high density foam padding for maximum comfort. The camber lowers the center of gravity and increases the maximum working load compared to a standard back squat. The angle between handles and camber was optimized to create an ergonomic feel.

For those of you who do barbell squats on a regular basis, you´ll want to use a Squat Bar. Period. That is unless you have the flexibility of a 13-year old ballerina.
Why there are still large gyms out there without a single squat bar is beyond me. I have tried many squat bars over the years, before I finally came across this one and never looked back since.
For those of you who already work out with a squat bar, you know it´s all about the angle and the padding. With this squat bar, they have chosen a wider angle, which allows for a more natural grip position (keeping the elbows higher than usual), which helps with balance and keeping the torso upright instead of leaning forward.
The padding is very high quality and easily absorbs the pressure you are used to feel from the barbell, even when you use those cheap velcro pads. From my experience, the same low quality padding is often used with other squat bars. Also important for comfort: The width of the shoulder pads is narrower than other squat bars I´ve used. Thus, combined with the wider angle, the bar rests comfortably on your traps and upper chest instead of putting pressure on your neck and shoulders. So the VA Seven squat bar really is the perfect squat bar for me. Since everybody’s physique is different, you´re mileage may vary. Still, I strongly recommend you give this trap bar a try if you have the chance. For reference: I´m 6″, 185lbs.

Ich habe bereits einige Safety Squat Bars in verschiedenen Studios getestet. Aber die VASEVEN ist mit großem Abstand die allerbeste!
Sie ermöglicht sauber, tief und schwer zu beugen. Sie sitzt perfekt auf den Schultern und dadurch ist eine aufrechte Haltung möglich. Da wackelt oder drückt nichts.
Sie wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail entwickelt und hergestellt.
Der Preis ist natürlich nicht ganz ohne, aber das Teil wird komplett in Deutschland hergestellt und ist kein billiger Chinaschrott. Qualität hat einfach seinen Preis und ist absolut gerechtfertigt.
Ich bin froh, dass ich mir die Safety Squat Bar gegönnt habe.
Einziger Nachteil: 25 Jahre Training ohne mit dieser Safety Squat Bar trainiert zu haben.
Vorteil: es werden glücklicherweise noch viele mit der Safety folgen.
